If you run into any roof issues during warranty they may not fix it if you have this mod installed. Speaking of roof controller - you might consider holding off on this upgrade until after the warranty on your new car expires. If you want to have it record if someone approaches or bumps your car when it's parked you need to have a constant power source. You also might check if the mirror power is switched or constant. You're going right past the driver side fuse box when you do this anyway. For most rear dashcams you have to run a cord from the front dashcam all the way back to behind the seat. If you do decide to go with a rear dashcam you might want to reconsider buying the mirror power adapter. You mentioned not wanting to mess with wiring but it's not any more intrusive than the remote roof controller you're also considering. The only wiring involved picking the right fuse for the fuse jumper. After watching comparison videos it seemed to have the best resolution for the price. I have the Vantrue N4 Pro dashcam it's worked well for me. :: At least a couple shift knobs to rotate around :: These controllers from mx5-things seem to be a great solution: Also wild to me that we can't just lower the roof from the key fob as well. Really upsetting to me that the windows aren't auto - up, and not auto - down using the key fob. Lower inside temperatures nominally, and provide a wee bit of privacy in the off chance my roof is up blackout the side corner lights - I just dig the color Nice to have's - (maybe something I'd pick up down the line) This will be my first car with leather seats. Some kind of cleaning product to make sure the leather seats/interior plastics keep well and lasts for years. Add a little more organization to the 'glove compartment' Any thoughts on this? Car cover suggestions? so I was thinking a car cover would at least help prolong the car paint. This car is going to sit outdoors in the nice California Sun nearly all day every day. A personal preference of mine is to have mudguards: Do these hold up well on a rainy day/tracking in water? Cocomats seem super dope (thanks for the inspiration stevenvillatoro!) but a little on the pricy end. allows you to discretly power a dash cam, via the rearview mirror (still not sure if this will work for the new 2024 - if anyone can verify I'd appreciate it!) Thread on this for more digging, but if you have rec's feel free to share them!. I'd like to have one that can do both front and back recording but realize I may need to forgo the backward view as I don't want to mess with any special wiring. I am looking at getting a 2024 RF - Grand Touring, manual transmission. I was hoping this could be a helpful starting point for new ND owners in the future. Feel free to provide some additional suggestions too in case I missed out on something important I've been trying to compile a list of 'need-to-haves' and 'want-to-haves' and wanted to know if you had any thoughts/suggestions/opinions. Lord-willing, I will be a Mx5 owner in the next 3-4 months and I am so stoked!
